Today is a first for me.
I am going to post on a Sunday night for the first time in over 300 entries.
So here goes.
This weekend my eldest daughter, my first born has gone on a week long trip with school. She is 10!! I am going to miss her kindness, her wit and her smile.
She is going to the Lake District, The wildest part of England. She will be trying things like climbing, canoeing and abseiling. All kinds of dangerous stuff.
I can't wait until Friday when she returns, I do hope she has a good time.

From my own experience, you'll miss her more than she'll miss you! She'll be too busy. Hope she has a great time.
I can never completely relax when my oldest is away. I always just feel better when he's home with me. I can't imagine what it'll be like when he moves out!
I bet she will have a blast! I loved the Lake District. I went there a couple of times; the first I went to Kendal - I hope that spelling is correct - and the second time I stayed just outside Windermere. It's a glorious place!
Both spellings correct well done.
The house is emptier, quieter nd not as happy as normal.
